We are very pleased to join the closed beta testing for Legend of Xuanyuan, latest 3D MMORPG produced by Tencent Games. The game is made based on Gameryo Element 2.3, which is the main engine of Xbox 360 so before we started to test the game, we predict the graphics would not disappoint us. That’s true.

Beside the graphics and flashy effects, the music in game sounds pretty fit in the game. When you are in the town or when you are leveling up in the wild, you will find the background music is very nice and you even want to hear it again and again. As for game details, we would like to leave it to you guys to explore. Since the closed beta testing is ended, we would like to talk about the following issues of the game.

Pros

We are game veterans and we are sure the graphics in this game is cool and awesome. Let’s check out some screenshots here:

Most of you guys will find the games made in China not good looking. But Perfect World Entertainment and Tencent Games, the two companies’ products are really nice since both companies got great profits and they invested a lot in game engine. As we said in the previous paragraph, Legend of XuanYuan is made based on Xbox 360 engine. It will change your concept of Made in China MMORPGs.

As to other parts, when we were born in the city, the city is ruined by invaders. You can easily find your enemy and battle. This is totally different from other games since normally you will born in a peaceful town, and then you find NPCs to learn some basic knowledge to survive in this world blar blar blar… Legend of XuanYuan does have newbie teaching system. But it’s simple and quick. You can immediately join your battles whenever you like. You found yourself is needed for this town! You can help NPCs to fullfill their wishes and during your adventure,  you are starting to get to know the NPCs, operations and gaming system easily.

During Lv.1 – Lv.20, we found the game with rich content and clear instructions. We experienced almost every system in the game.

Cons

Since it’s early beta testing, we believe a lot of stuff are not implemented into the game yet. We gradually found after you reach Lv.20, it’s pretty boring and dull. You start to do Loop Quests every day and nothing really new get you. We are sure in the next round beta testing, quests part will get improved.

Overall, Legend of Xuan Yuan is a game you should be anticipating. We are not sure when will this game to be introduced into English, but according to its quality, the day will come soon!

Recently we have seen loads of advertisement from Xun Xian, a free Chinese MMORPG published by tencent.  Today we have got a chance to log into the new game, Seeking Gods Online (Xun Xian).

A lot of Chinese cartoon elements can be found in this game. You will find a wonderland that you dreamed of when you were very young. You can find these NPCs are very familiar due to the fact that you watched these animations at your youth stage.

It’s very easy to begin with. Just a few talks will take you out from the newbie village.

We picked up a very ugly uncle as our character. The funny part is the emotion part. Move your mouse on the following pictures and take a look at the following picture:

The game has a semi-GPS system. Maybe due to the factor that 3D game is hard to make a GPS system like in 2D games. But as you can see, the designer has already made the directions for you so that it’s really hard for you to miss a certain place or a NPC.

Seeking Gods Online is the latest free 3D MMORPG produced by Pixel Soft, published by Tencent.com, the largest Instant Messenger (QQ) software company in mainland China. The game was based on Chinese mythology, fairies and well-known animations to a lot of people who were born during 1970s-1990s. You can find a lot of familiar cartoon heroes in this game, such as Huluwa (Bottle Gourd Baby), Tudi (Earth God), Na Zha, Hulijing (Fox Devil) etc.

Every MMORPG has a story, so does Seeking Gods Online. The story originates from a very old book called Chinese Bestiary (The Mountain and Sea Bible). Gods created everything for the world, and if you are one of those who are qualified to be a god, then you will be trained, tested and finally picked to become a God. The game is based on this base line and what you are going to do is to try to become a god in this game.

There are 8 types of Basic Gods in total (San xian, which means half human, half god) you can start with, they are: Vajrapani, Rasetsu, Paladin – the swordsman, Miracle Fighter, Fire Taoist, Blizzard Toiast, Cursed Witcher and Hellgate Wizard.

Sounds cool eh? That’s fmmorpg.com’s translation… lol. Actually that means 8 classes in game, just like classes in other games, you can become warrior, assassin, wizard, priest, archer, paladin etc.

Let’s take a look at the pet system. There are two types of pets in the game, one is called mount, and another is called “Guide Dog”, which will help you to find directions (Well, it’s function is just like GPS system in other MMORPG). You can get your pets or mounts from quests. If you want a better one, you need to learn the “Capture Devil” skill to capture better pets. Different pets have different skills and you should pick the right one for your own class. Don’t forget to feed your pets; they will become hungry if you treat them bad.

In traditional Chinese mythology, each god has at least 1 magic weapon and these weapons are called Fabao. In Seeking Gods Online, each player can have a magic weapon as well. By holding this magic weapon, you can cast very special and powerful skills differentiated from normal skills. Normally these magic weapons are well-known: bells, bottle gourd, mirror, scroll, pataka umbrella etc. So Fabao/Magic Weapons are also a very important and fun part of this game. We will explore more about this and introduce this system to you later.
