I am sure you are all very excited about the opening of the LGP Item Mall. All these nice dress, wings, gems, wedding packs, etc.  They are costing an arm and a leg!

What about the 3000 Gold that we have given out on August 20, 2008? Have you spent it all, and now you have no Gold left to buy any other items?

Not to worry. Here is a new way you can earn Gold in LGP Online. We will give you 2 Gold Points for every 2 continuous hours that you are in LGP Online.

The following are detailed rules:

1. Each time you log off, our system will compute how long you are online since the last time you log in. And you will earn 2 Gold Points for every 2 hours that you are continuously online.  Residuals will be rounded off, meaning if you are online for 3 hours and 59 minutes, you will still only earn only 2 Gold Points, and if you are continuously online for 4 hours and 1 minute, you will get 4 Gold Points.  You can take out these Gold Points at the Bullion Merchant in Plume city, when you accumulate at least 100 gold.

2. To prevent cheating, we will only allow 3 accounts per IP address to earn Gold in this method. EVeryday (calendar day based on PST), the first 3 accounts at each ip address will earn Gold, and the fourth account will not be able to earn anything.  So let’s do some math: if you have 3 accounts online all the time, you will earn 24 Gold per account per day, 720 Gold per account per month, and  2160 Gold for all 3 accounts in 1 month. This can buy you some nice things in game.  You can invite your friends or family members to be in LGP with you, and ask them to give you their gold hehe.

3. We are not responsible for any “unlucky events” that cause you not to receive the Gold: For example,  you got DCed due to some poor network connection at 1 hour 59 minutes, and did not get the Gold; Or we have to maintain the server that forces you to disconnect at 1 hour and 58 minutes.  This is a free benefit to make you happy, and  we do not wish to turn it into something that creates trouble, dispute or unhappiness.

4.  This is a promotional event and we may make adjustment or terminate this event any time.

5. You can also buy LGP Gold using real money in the future, but we do not intend to do this anytime soon.  You can also participate in some other events (such as write game reviews, etc) to earn Gold.

Marriages in World of Kung Fu are performed by the GMs after players get their marriage license from the Matchmaker NPC located in the cities of Liuhe, and Bizhou. In addition to a lifetime of marital bliss, married couples also get a 20% experience bonus (upgradable to 50%) on actions performed together. In future upgrades to the game, there will actually be a child rearing system that will allow children to inherit attributes from their parents! Let us take a look at their latest product, an upgraded version of Q-world Online, which is now open beta in mainland China: Kou Dai Xi You, temporarily we’ve named it: Pocket WJ.

Character Sheet

Nothing creative, just like the normal products from Perfect world, there are three races you can choose: Human, God and Devil. In each race, you can choose 6 classes. Different from other games by Perfect World, there will be a pet born with you. You can input your birthday when creating your character.

First Log in

When you first log in the game, if you play Phoenix Dynasty Online, you will have ideas what it is – Five Element System. In this game, designers “borrowed” a lot of concepts from other Chinese MMORPG. The designers also considered the convienence for the newbies and want the players to read the basic information when logged in. But it’s really hard to find the “X” button and I doubt if players will read it since most of us just click the “X” button and continue with our training.

Training

We have just completed the first couple of levels and training seems to be easy. Just Talk to the NPC who has something on  the top of their head and follow the quest. Since they have a GPS system, just click the NPC with a green name in quest pannel and you will go to find the guy easily.

But within just a few minutes, we feel the game is boring. Quests are just grinding quests like they have in Q-World, Chibi Online etc. We didn’t find anything outside the box. Maybe the only interesting thing is the cute pets.

Graphics and Effects

Since they use the same game engine, the effects are just as awesome as in other perfect world games. You can see the effects from the following screenshots.

Pets

The game company advertised this game as the most cutest 3D pet game. We have noticed that they “borrowed” the eudemons concept from Eudemons Online. You can summon your pet and combine the pet to your character. You can capture all monsters to be your pet, which feature could be found from the game called Legend of Golden Plume.

Pets are divided into 9 factions. Each faction has restrictions and generations. This is fun when you PK. You have to know this when you see your enemy’s pet.

Fly

As you know in Perfect World Online, there is a race that has a special ability and they can float and fly in the sky. In this game, no matter what race you choose, you can have the ability to fly. When you reach Level 10, you are able to accept a quest and then you can fly. The following are the images when you fly.

Conclusion

Pocket Western Journey is just another Perfect World’s combination product. They borrowed a lot of concepts welcomed in the Chinese market and implimented them into the game. But as to game play itself, there isn’t any break-through. More and more players are tired such kind of games. If you like pokeman, you should try it when you have a free afternoon and decide whether you are willing to stay or remove it from your hard disk.

[Shanghai, China, July 22, 2008] Starting today, World of Kung Fu players will be able to explore a dramatically enhanced and expanded virtual world. The popular 3D martial arts game is based on the arts and mythology of ancient China. The new version is the last in a series of upgrades leading to the official launch of the game on August 1^st. A new server has been added to handle the increase in traffic.

The most noticeable new feature is the addition of 8 new maps including the new country of Qinchuan, its capital city Jingchuan, a huge, accurate replica of the Forbidden City (populated by dragons), a Dragon Maze, a large Hot Spring area, Qigong Temple, and more. The new maps expand the game’s playable area by about 25%.

Many quests have been added, as well as a new treasure hunting system. The new “Divine” weapons class has been activated. Ferocious enemies like the Tang Serpent and the Mojia Warriors will make their appearance. In addition, the level cap has been raised to allow players to achieve level 80.

“The new features and additions to gameplay as well as numerous ‘under the hood’ technical enhancements really add polish to World of Kung Fu, and that is being reflected in the numbers of new registered users we see signing up every day”, says David Clarke, the game’s Producer.

A great deal of play balancing combined with technical enhancements such as improved integration with Windows Vista and other versions of the Windows operating system will make it easier for new players to get involved with the game. The addition of a new server will also make the game more accessible to many people.

Official Released Game Features – Part I: Everything is growing

Weapon

Weapon is one of the most interesting parts of Chaos Online. There are five different qualities of weapons in this world: normal, refined, elite, perfect and awakened. You can use different raw materials to create different quality of weapons. A weapon of perfect or awakened quality absorbs experience during the battles and it will level up. The higher level the weapon is the more powerful attributes it has. Once a weapon is awakened, you can make at most 8 sockets on it – 4 for different skill gems and 4 for eudemons, which will add extra power to your weapons. You can also reinforce your weapons. Other functions of weapons are under development, such as +1 system, quality upgrade on any items etc. We are sure once the game comes into Open Beta stage, you will experience all of these interesting functions.

Armor

Beside weapons, all the other equipment like armor, belts, bracelets, necklaces, rings, boots, helmets, are growing too. You don’t need to change the armor you have been working so hard when your character levels up. You can simply use a meteor to upgrade your armor to another stage – all of its attributes will go up with the level upgrade. Gems can be embedded to your armor as well. You can also reinforce your armor to make them more powerful. By precious gems, you are able to activate the hidden attributes of your armor. You can also easily change these attributes if you want something different!

Mount

There are two types of mounts in game. The normal ones can’t grow up and we can’t battle when we are riding on them; the advanced ones can grow up and we can battle when we are on them. You can use a mount soul to activate the extra attributes of your mount and then use the Sapphire and ores to enhance them. A mount can be enhanced 9 times at most and the ultimate mount is very powerful. Now you can ride horses, tigers, leopard and motorcycles etc. in game. We are also developing bikes, skateboards these modern stuff as mounts!

Eudemons

Eudemons are like pets, attached to your awakened weapon. They will grow with your weapon and add extra attributes to it. Once a eudemon reaches to a certain level, it can be reborn and you need to sacrifice another eudemon for it. Different eudemon has different growth rate and specialties. Currently there are three types of eudemons: single attribute eudemon, double attributes eudemon and universal eudemon. They can be attached or unattached to a weapon easily. They absorb stars’ power to grow and their highest level will be +1 to your weapon’s level.

Gems and Stones

All stones, crystals, gems, ores in this game have different quality levels. Some of them can be easily composed from low levels to high levels. For example, you can use 6 Lv.1 Crystals to compose a Lv.2 Crystal with 100% successful rate. You can use 6 Lv.2 Crystals to compose a Lv.3 Crystal with 100% rate, and so on.

I think maybe you will be interested in this newly chinese made 2.5D MMORPG: Chaos Online. Since it has not an English name yet, we will name the game for its three races: Gene, Dragon and Sky. In Taiwan version it is called Cloudland Online.

This game has awesome effects of skills. Weapon growth system is amazing stuff, you can not only grow the level and quality of your weapon, you will also need to raise your ‘weapon spirit’, awaking your weapon to make it more powerful. At most you can have 4 spirits to enchance your weapons in differents ways and make 4 sockets to embed different weapon skill stones.

Every new invention nowadays of MMORPG can be found in this game: Instance, in game robot, GPS, upgrading item level, upgrading item quality, weapon spirit( like a pet who is attached to your weapon and give power to it) and Skypass etc… We are really excited for the alpha test of this game so once there is a news, we will let you guys know.

Since Gene race is introduced into this game, you can see modern weapons as well. Rifles, cannons, you can even ride a motocycle!
