As we have introduced to you in the last 2007, netease(163.com) released TianXia II in China but sooner they called the product back into reproduction.

As we can see from the above video, this game really looks nice and cool.

And now Netease is asking the players to participate the 2nd tech test in China now. Fmmorpg.com will focus on TianXia II and we will report to you with more deitals about Tian Xia II. Since we haven’t renamed this product into English, and since “Tian” means “Sky”; “Xia” means “Under”, together it means “Under the Sky”, but if we name this title “Under the Sky” is too stupid. As the video I founded in youtube, the name “Ancient World” sounds a bit cool. So from today, we rename this “Tian Xia II” to “Ancient World II Online”.

Hello guys, you haven’t seen me for quite a long time right? Haha, sorry for kept you waiting for the latest article. Recently I am busy with setting up a game company. Yes, I quitted tqdigital already.

Today I will bring you a brief introduction of TianXiaII, which was made by Netease, largest internet portal and leading site in China, it also can be found in NASDAQ.

Tian Xia II is a 3D game, which is basiclly copied from World of Warcraft. But it’s definately a Chinese version. You can not name your character in English and numbers, which means you can only make a Chinese character name for it. Commonlly in battle, when you lose HP, numbers will come out over your head, but here, not numbers, it’s Chinese “One, two, three..”. You can also find a very Chinese NPC: Earth Grandpa in game, you can ask him for directions. You can also set up booth there by a very cute ghost named “Lian Cai Ghost”.

I did not want to get into the details since I only played that game for a little time. But graphics are pretty good here. Here are some screenshots:

This is really an old game, made by netease, one of the most famous portal in China. This game was released in 2000-2001, almost the same time with Monster and Me in Chinese market. It is also a turn-based MMORPG, pet raising MMORPG and based on Chinese mythology. This game now still can be called a sucess in Chinese market, 56 million registered accounts, 580,000 peak concurrent users (data in 2005). Later netease released other game based on this engine and get a lot of profit from them. They are now free to play. But netease will never make this into English version.
