“Training yourself to level 30 is easy dude!” says the Warrior’s Guild Leader cajun, “Unless you are the type of person who gives up at the beginning of your training, in which case, you are no hero at all. If that’s your style, you’ll fail at all but the simplest of tasks set before you.”

Maybe the guild leader is exaggerating the point a bit, but that does not invalidate his point. It is in fact true that only people with the unique characteristics of being steadfast and dedicated that can save all the people of the land from evil and return hope to our hearts…

“The effects of magical skills are fascinating. I joined a guild war when I was young and I was astonished by the magic powers shown by our elders. I have seen one of my fellow guild members become frozen for a full five seconds by a spell called ‘Blizzard’ that was cast by their enemy. These experiences have convinced me that I must train hard myself to gain more spectacular and more powerful skills”, says the young warrior, Luke. He is only level 32 and is trying his hardest to experience everything the land hast to offer and to complete all quests assigned to him by the Chu State. Once upon a time, the world was dominated by a fiend, Apofis who claimed himself as the messenger of sun. Torturing people seemed nothing but fun to him. He felt satisfied by simply destroying people’s peaceful lives. One day, he used his horrendous power to make 9 giant fireballs and hung them up on the sky. All plants were burning. Lakes were drying. People were crying. Death wandered on the surface of the earth.

Finally, one day a hero arose. His name was Illios. He produced 9 arrows with the distillate of the nature. This took him 49 days , after which he started his adventure.

The fight with Apofis was something like never seen before. Illios used all his power to shoot the 9 giant fireballs from the sky. As he hit them. they turned into 9 golden plumes. As the fireballs disappeared, the world cooled down and the people could see Illios fighting against Apofis. In his hands he held the 9 golden plumes and he was flying during the battle.

The people called the plumes “suncrows” and they believed the suncrows were the source of Illiose’s bravery.

Unfortunately, the destruction of the fireballs took most of Illios’ power and he could feel himself falling to the face of the world. In a final attempt to destroy Apofis, he gathered all the strength he had left and launched his final attack. The attack killed both Apofis and Illios, freeing the world of the evil being and letting the world return from chaos.

The 9 golden plumes fell to the earth with Illios. Nobody knows where they are at this time, but everybody believes in their magic power and the bravery they can bring.

Over thousands of years, the search for the 9 suncrows never ended. Many people have tried and failed but they never gave up.

Different kinds of persons have searched for the suncrows. People like the Taoist, which is able to discern the secret of nature; the Swordman, who can wield weapons better then anyone; the Warrior, whom is believed to be Illiose’s offspring; the Priest that lives as a hermit and is good at curing people; and finally the Mage, which has unbelievable magic power.

A journey with no end has just begun. Are you ready for it? Find the suncrows, fulfill the legend, gain the true power and be a true hero.

Most of you who like 2D MMORPG must have already tried this free mmoprg - Phoenix Dynasty Online already. The most interesting stuff will be that 5-element system is integrated into all systems. Beside that, item crafting and loads of quests also distinguished this game from another famous kungfu 2D MMORPG - Conquer Online.

There are totally four big updates for PDO: Refining System, Marriage System, New Homeland Battle(Guild Wars) and New Series Quests.

Refining system

The item crafting system has long been the game’s unique feature. It enables players to forge enchanted items, helping them wipe out formidable foes on the way to ascend to become true heroes.

In patch 7205, a new system, item refining system, will be introduced in the game. Unlike the item crafting system, it serves players as a function to upgrade their items, including weapons, armor, necklaces and rings. After refining, the basic attributes of these items such as attack force and defense will be substantially enhanced.

Marriage system

Love connects people and gives them strength. Even the greatest warrior, when suffering defeats, needs the gentle touch and minute care from his lover.

Players now don’t need to worry about fighting atrocious monsters without being firmly supported. In patch 7205, you and your lover can forge an unshakable alliance by entering matrimony; therefore you can do quests and vanquish monsters with sweet conjugal felicity! By doing so, you can declare your unswerving love to your beloved in face of other players! In addition, a grand wedding ceremony can be held to witness your sweet combination.

New Homeland Battle

A large variety of Guild War buffs will be introduced in Patch 7205. They can turn you into an almost monstrous form and then endow you with unbelievably mighty battle effectiveness. With the help of such powerful buffs, even your foes’ unyielding will and extraordinary power may prove insufficient against you. But beware, for your enemies will not go down without a fight, do expect them to resort to the buffs also. Who shall reign? Who shall fall? You greatest challenge yet waits.

In addition, as a special reward for Guild War winners, five different war elephant mounts can be purchased in Patch 7205. Not only cool and formidable in appearance, they possess different abilities that to a large extent convenience you. The most superior type, Holy elephants, even has a formidable fighting skill protecting you from monsters. Owning the war elephant mount shows you are a true warrior, a Guild War winner, also it attracts envious attention when you stride along the road!

New series quest

You rose up and braved the perils of Zhou state; you faced off against the might of Hidden Sun Cult itself and you prevailed. Now the ring of fate finally brings you against the most ferocious, brutal, and powerful force, the land of wander. Vanquished and banished generations ago, it now comes back with vehement vengeance to devour all.

In this expansion, a new series quest requiring above-average fighting skills and high coordination will be presented. If you’ve completed all primary quests, you can get the quests from the Elder in Phoenix Village.

You will venture deep into the Wonder Land, a once-peaceful and divine place, to join a mysterious alliance and to confront the Dreamy Legion. The epic battle will eventually bring you against the Dreamtime Tyrant himself, the source of all evils and the corruption plaguing the land. You must defeat him to save the land and its inhabitants. Prepare yourselves, fearless warriors!

There are some other fun stuff: Offline Training ground, New PVP(notice: not PK, it’s PVP) rules, new skills, new suits and some new mounts, especially Elephants! As far as I know, they are the largest mount among all 2D MMORPG.

Character Classes

•There are four classes in all:
Assassin (Adept in long distance attack)
Paladin (Adept in melee attack)

•Each class has a male character and a female character.

•Characters in different class and gender have different five-element system attributes (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth). –For example: A character may be a male paladin, with a Metal attribute under the five-element system.

Phoenix Dancing inherits and improves the highly acclaimed Five-Element Promotion and Restriction system from World of Qin 2 and World of Qin. Furthermore, there is permeating throughout the game the concept of “Gifted 5E”, “Promotion and Restriction Relationship between 5Es”, and the “Training System of 5E Nimbus”. The “Gifted 5E” concept enriches the personal characteristics of each character class. The “Promotion and Restriction Relationships between 5Es” are introduced to the production system so that players can first obtain materials from the monsters and then make the products on their own, while the “Training System of 5E Nimbus” is a process of players drawing nimbus from creatures for energy reinforcement so that they can practice and refine their fighting skills.

Forging System

•The forging system is the core system that underlies the World of Qin series, and is also a key play point in Phoenix Dancing. “Forge” means first collecting some material that can be forged, obtaining the attributes that the material holds according to the 5E promotion and restriction relationships, and then importing them into the final item wanted.

•To understand the principles of forging, you must understand material, proficiency

–Material: Material is collected from dead bodies of animals or rare monsters. You can collect materials for weapons, armor, baldrics, and medicines from all monsters. The monsters of the same type might drop different materials. The quality of the materials have three degrees, including white, blue, and green where the white material is of the poorest quality, and it’s attributes are consequently the poorest.

Proficiency: Proficiency means the ability of the forging skill. You gain your proficiency when you have forged a finished product, at an indefinite amount each time. From lower to higher, proficiency is divided into different ability levels, called “Forging Level”, for which there are ranking tiles for each. The higher your forging level is, the better finished product you will obtain.

Suit System

•The suit is a significant feature in the equipment system of Phoenix Dancing. There are 3 kinds of equipment units that can be combined as a suit with effective suit attributes, these are “Reputation Suit”, “Class Title Suit”, and “Top Class Suit”, with 3 combination forms for each of them, such as a set of 3 units (minor suit attributes), 5 units (middle suit attributes), or 7 units (major suit attributes). A mixture of the above 3 suits units or pure suit units both produce suit attributes.

Mount System Feature

•Have five elements mounts in the game: like – Tiger (Metal), Bull (Wood), Shanyi (Fire), Bear (Earth) etc.

•Mount can add extra attribution for player to protect or fight for players

•Players can fight and PK on the mount

•Mount have different level

Faction System

•Creating factions and faction colonies

•The faction colony upgrades together with the faction it belongs to.

•Creating faction defensive fortification.

•Faction wars over territories.

Dragon Throne Online is newly producted by Object Software. Object Software is the first Chinese company entered English market in game industry. If you are an old fan of Object Software, you must remember a game called The world of Qin, a pc game by this company. Currently they have released last 2D MMORPG in China called Dragon Throne Online. This MMORPG is free to play and the game looks like Conquer Online which is made by TQdigital. It is said that this MMORPG has the best effects in 2D MMORPG.
