We have seen a lot of well developed MMOs made in China have been introduced into Norrh America. The well-known publishers introducing Chinese MMOs including NetDragon, Perfect World, Changyou, Ingle Games, IGG, Snail Games etc. are doing a great job. But there are still a large number of awesome MMOs haven’t been introduced into North America yet. Wushen is one of them. Today let’s take a look at the world of Wu Shen.
Wu Shen, in Chinese it means the God of Martial Arts. The game is developed and published by Wu Shen Technology Ltd in the year of 2009. Now the game is officially launched in mainland China with dozens of servers opening! Just a few days ago, the new expansion pack called “Dragon vs. Tiger” including new adventures, marriage system opening etc.
As a 3D MMORPG, I have to compare this game with Perfect World games. Overall, we thought the game engine are the same. They have a lot of similarities in graphics, user interface, and client folders. We are not sure the relationship between Wu Shen Technology and Perfect World Entertainment so we will skip this part and leave the questions to the guys who can give us answers.
We still thinik the graphics in Wu Shen is not the best but it’s good enough. If you really care about those sands and leaves, you will find it ugly. Beside that, the structures, characters, mounts, skill effects are pretty cool already. Take a look at some of these screenshots:
I just leveled my character to Lv. 25 so that I can play PVP part of the game. In my journey of growth, I found the game quest is well designed. It’s so good that at first you can easily find it boring: by clicking your mouse and it will automatically help you to complete your quests.
First 10 Levels you can find yourself travelling from one place to another, getting to know different NPCs in game so that you will know what you can do with these NPCs in your future journey. From Lv.11 to Lv.25, you will start to grind. But it’s fast grind and monsters are totally different, so that you won’t find grind is boring. You can easily collect the equipment for your character during your battles. Various items and materials can be found in this game and mostly the equipment you found is suitable for you. Materials can be easily made into something very useful for you, so don’t neglect those flowers and ores!
Don’t worry about your skills too. Automatically you will gain your skills by completing different quests. Till Lv.25, I got almost 10 active skills to use during my battles. And skill effects are really awesome and powerful. Take a look at these skill effects I captured during my play:
When I am Lv.25, I really want to check out the instances in this game. But till now I don’t have any friends in game yet. When I just want to give up hope of entering the instance, there is an option for me: Solo Instance. That’s pretty great! I think there are some players who like SOLO very much just like me. So I didn’t hesitate and click that option to enter my own SOLO instance to fight with those stupid monsters.
Overall
Since I only get to Lv. 25, there are lots more to be explored. But the game is beyond my expectation. At first I just think the game is only a copycat or something like that. Now I gradually find that concept a bit less and the game does attract me. If you like Chinese culture and Martial Arts, I bet this game is suitable for you. We are not sure if the game is going to be translated and published in North America but if you want to experience, just leave a message on our Facebook Page.
